The Center for Native Health Partnerships is committed to developing true partnerships between tribal communities and academic partners to conduct health disparities research. We focus on building research capacity within tribal and academic communities.
CNHP funds community-based research projects throughout Montana tribal communities. Funding is provided through planning grants of up to $10,000 per year and pilot grants of $50,000 per year for community/academic partnerships to work on health topics.
Our summer student program offers university and college students the opportunity to work with community-based research projects in tribal communities.
CNHP provides resources and information for individuals interested in community-based participatory research through our national listserv, website, and monthly seminar series.
Community Organizers are located on each reservation and work to build capacity for community-based participatory research.
